Allie here. I’ve been collecting vinyl records for a few years now, and in honor of National Vinyl Record Day, I wanted to share some of my favorite spots in Raleigh to dig through crates for my next find.

Nice Price Books & Records | “Come as You Are” to this spot offering just about every music genre of used + new records. Pro tip: Dive into the $1 section and search for hidden gems. Plus, I like to stop into Cup A Joe after for a drink + sweet treat.

Schoolkids Records | Although its iconic original location in Chapel Hill recently closed, you can still visit the Raleigh location for similar vibes. Dig through new, used, and rare vinyl — plus, this spot regularly hosts local talent.

Hunky Dory | Browse new and used records at this old-school-meets-new-school store and take a load off (Fanny) at the bar with a local craft beer.

The Wrap

From Allie

College football is just a few weeks away. You already know I back the Pack, but I am really curious just how well Bill Belichick’s Tar Heels will do this season. If you saw the AP’s preseson poll, neither UNC nor NC State received any votes, but Duke garnered a few. Grab tickets for NC State’s Aug. 28 home opener and UNC’s debut matchup against TCU on Sept. 1.
