Sugar, butter, flour. Theatre Raleigh’s production of the hit musical “Waitress,” based on the 2007 film with music by Sara Bareilles, opens this Wednesday, Aug. 4, and you won’t want to miss this sweet show with local + national performers.
Alyssa Fox will take on the lead role of Jenna — on Broadway, she’s performed as Elphaba in “Wicked” and Elsa in “Frozen” — and Billy Harrigan Tighe will play Dr. Pottamer.Plus, Raleigh’s own Ira David Wood III will play Joe, originally played by the late Andy Griffith in the 2007 movie.
And to sweeten the deal, Slice Pie Company will have mini pies for sale at every performance, and they made every pie you’ll see on stage. The show goes on through Sunday, Aug. 24, and limited seats remain. Grab your tickets now.
