Raleigh Union Station’s new bus facility, known as RUS Bus, will open its doors for use on Sunday, Aug. 3, and that’s just the start of the transformative project coming to the Warehouse District.
The new bus station will act as a hub for GoTriangle buses headed to other Triangle cities, and the Moore Square station will remain a hub for GoRaleigh transit. The new facility is complete with six bays, including space for a future bus rapid transit stop, public bathrooms, locker storage, and bike parking.
RUS Bus is located right next to Raleigh Union Station, meaning quick connections to and from Amtrak and local public transit. Plus, the area will also include a new tower with over 300 apartments, retail, dining, and more.

North Hills is growing again and will attempt to rezone some parcels up to 37 stories in Midtown. North Hills representatives said they’re not looking for denser buildings, just changing the shape of their plans and will submit rezoning requests in August. These projects are likely five to 15 years away, however. (Raleigh Magazine)

There’s still some room in NC State’s fall craft classes at the Crafts Center. I picked up a pottery class to try something new, and I loved taking metalsmithing while I was a student — I still have my homemade copper earrings!
