Raleigh City Council voted to endorse a potential toll on Capital Boulevard between 540 and Wake Forest. The toll would accelerate NCDOT’s plans to turn the road into a six-lane expressway after delaying the project by a decade. (The News & Observer)

Jaggers, a subsidiary restaurant of Texas Roadhouse, will open in the former Mami Nora’s space at 6711 Glenwood Ave., promising cheaper eats, like $10 or less burgers and chicken. Mami Nora’s will be demolished and a new building will come in its place — no word on an opening yet. (Triangle Business Journal)
