Don’t pick too late — local strawberries are in bloom, and we’ve got six local farms offering you-pick straight from the vine. Anyone up for some strawberry shortcake?

Seasonal

Cicadas are on their way. NC’s crop of annual cicadas will pop out from their underground homes to make some noise across central NC. Thankfully, we won’t see any additional cicadas this year like our neighbors in Western NC. (WRAL)
