The RiverRun International Film Festival returns to Winston-Salem, NC, April 11-19. Named one of the “10 Amazing Film Festivals Worth Traveling For” by USA Today’s 10 Best, this festival brings together filmmakers from across the globe for nine days of screenings + movie magic.

RiverRun will showcase a variety of narrative, documentary, student, animated, and short films from all genres.

Development

Plans for a $1 billion development around the Lenovo Center in west Raleigh aim to create a sports and entertainment district with 40-story buildings, 4,200 apartments, a concert venue, and retail spaces. The rezoning proposal would reshape 81 acres with construction potentially beginning later this year. (The News & Observer)
