Seasonal

Pollen season has arrived in NC with tree pollen levels rising, especially from juniper, cedar, and oak trees. The state’s pollen sampler shows high tree pollen levels, while grass and weed pollen will peak later. Warmer temperatures are causing longer pollen seasons, affecting allergy sufferers more each year. (The News & Observer)

Mansion Monday

A modern oasis in Raleigh

RALtoday 5909 Tower Grove Drive
Fun fact: Materials in this home are natural stone and imported wood from Europe. | Photos by Bison Development Glenhill
This Mansion Monday, we’ve found a home that’s the epitome of an oasis. The not-so-humble abode at 5905 Tower Grove Dr. near Pleasant Union Elementary is dazzling with statement features like an open layout, built-in fitness studio, walk-in closets resembling high-end boutiques, and a light + airy design.

With five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, and 11,500 sqft, think of this home as a two-in-one space — a place to live and unwind. Our favorite feature? The primary suite’s bathroom that houses separate vanities and a soaking tub against a natural stone accent wall.

The exterior of the estate entails just as much pizzazz. The landscape embodies the feel of a tropical resort and at the rear of the property is a pool, a prime spot for entertaining. The price tag on this beauty is $5.6 million — and if we had it, this home would be spoken for.

The Buy

Really cute palazzo pants on sale at Nordstrom Rack. The lightweight, flowy pants can be dressed up or down for spring events and come in fun prints.
