Have you heard more and more friends discussing beauty and aesthetic treatments recently?

The numbers don’t lie — the medical spa market is projected to grow 13.7% this year, from $18.88 billion in 2024 to $21.47 billion in 2025.

We checked in with NC’s No. 1 plastic surgery center and med-spa, Synergy Face + Body, to get the scoop on growing trends in the industry (nationwide and locally). Read: If you’re looking for an official 2025 glow-up guide, this is it.

1. Sculptra

Biostimulators like Sculptra are having a major moment right now.

These new treatments work harmoniously with your body’s natural processes, encouraging collagen production in specific areas to help naturally smooth + lift.

The result? A refreshed, effortless look that can last two years or more.

2. GLP-1 medications

When it comes to in-demand treatments, it doesn’t get any hotter than Synergy’s new Semaglutide and Tirzepatide weight loss injections.

These game-changing GLP-1 medications are clinically proven to help patients shed 15-22% of their body weight with a customized plan.

Bonus: You can even self-administer this slimming, once-a-week treatment from home, meaning no extra trips to the clinic.

3. Hyaluronic acid injectable fillers + skin boosters

We’ve all heard of hyaluronic acid in skincare — now it’s in injectable form.

Boosters like SkinVive add hyaluronic acid directly into the skin, providing volume and hydrating from within for a naturally youthful look with next-to-no downtime.

(If you’re after plumper lips, popping cheekbones, or a subtle skin refresh, dermal fillers can be your new BFF.)

4. Botox

Still the undisputed gold standard for wrinkle reduction, Botox remains the best in the biz at gently smoothing frown lines, crow’s feet, forehead creases, and more.

Plus, Synergy’s expert injectors can help you get the natural-looking, wrinkle-free results you want.

Botox injections are also commonly used in targeted spots to help treat and prevent jaw tension, pressure headaches, and migraines.

The Pack is back. Over the weekend, NC State’s women’s basketball team faced off against Notre Dame at Reynolds Coliseum, beating the then-No. 1 team 104-94 in double overtime. The Pack’s win put the team back in the top 10 at No. 9 in the AP poll. The win also marks the first time NC State has won at home over a No. 1 competitor since 1978.

Zoe Brooks and Aziaha James showed great strides on the court — Brooks scored a career high of 33 points and 10 rebounds. James scored 20 points, making a notable layup shot while avoiding a steal from Notre Dame guard Olivia Miles.

NC State handed the Fighting Irish their first loss in ACC play and kept alive their chances of sharing the regular season title. The Wolfpack will need to win their final two games and hope Notre Dame loses again.

Support the women’s basketball team in their next game + final home game against Wake Forest this Thursday, Feb. 27 at Reynolds Coliseum. Plus, be on the lookout for the Pack in the ACC tournament.

We have less than 30 days until the first day of spring, and I’m already thinking about which Raleigh patio I’ll be visiting first. I can practically taste the longer days and the constant flow of sunshine.
