Simon Says Dip This will open in the flourishing Bloc[83] development. | Photo by RALtoday
A new specialty sweet shop is coming to Glenwood South. Simon Says Dip This, an ice cream store from Durham, is expanding to Bloc[83] and will open later this month near YogaSix and 321 Coffee.
Simon Says specializes in endlessly customizable ice cream cones, ice cream sandwiches, and cheesecake popsicles. The Durham shop is complete with fun posters, ice cream-themed decor, and a swing perfect for your Instagram feed. The Raleigh location promises ‘90s decor and a squirrel spring rider for kids. Talk about nostalgic.
The couple behind Simon Says told Triangle Business Journal they plan to expand further into the Triangle in the coming years and have been looking for a spot in Raleigh since 2023.
Bloc [83] is located on the far south end of Glenwood South and includes First Watch, Vic’s Pizzeria + Dram & Draught. Volofit, a total-health gym, will join the development later this year.

A really good pet insurance plan. Let’s face it — vet bills aren’t getting any cheaper, and your fur baby’s health shouldn’t be a financial stressor. Money has ranked top pet insurance picks, with plans starting at just $10 a month.*
If there’s one thing about me, I love an unconventional flavor pairing, and Iris Coffee Lab’s Valentine’s Day menu is calling my name. The dark cherry affogato combines espresso, black cherry ice cream, dark chocolate shavings, flaky salt, olive oil, and a maraschino cherry on top. Sounds like a grown-up sundae to me.
