We can’t wait for the upcoming Raleigh Raising Cane’s location. | Photo provided by Raising Cane’s
According to The News & Observer and Raleigh Magazine, Hillsborough Street might get even tastier with the addition of a regional fast food fave — Raising Cane’s has submitted plans for a new eatery at 2420 Hillsborough St.
Raising Cane’s boasts a small menu, only serving chicken tenders + sandwiches, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and its peppery sweet Cane’s sauce. We have a feeling the Caniac Combo will go over well in Raleigh.
The chicken tender eatery only has three other NC locations: East Carolina University, Camp Lejune, and Chapel Hill. Chapel Hill’s location opened in late 2023 and is right across from its college campus, much like the future Raleigh location.
The location was formerly Umami Asian Bistro, H-Street Kitchen, and the historic Varsity Theatre, among other tenants. The current plans submitted outline a remodel of the inside + facade of the building. No opening date is set, but our mouths are already watering.
