A Florida developer signed a 99-year lease with Saint Augustine’s for its 105-acre Raleigh property, planning a $700 million mixed-use development on 55 acres. The partnership, which includes a revenue sharing agreement, aims to generate $3 billion for both parties, helping the financially struggling HBCU. (INDY Week)

NC’s population grew by 164,835 people in a year ending July 1, 2024, reaching over 11 million for the first time. The state’s growth rate of 1.5% was among the fastest in the country with many new residents moving in from other states, second only to Texas. (The News & Observer)

The Blue Ridge Corridor will receive a major makeover with a $200 million upgrade to the Lenovo Center and surrounding areas. Plans include new parking decks, restaurants, offices, apartments, and retail space. The transformation, starting in 2025, aims to create a vibrant sports and entertainment district by 2030.
