Are you this big of a Canes fan? | Photo by Jaylynn Nash via Carolina Hurricanes
Tonight the Canes play against the Islanders in Game 3, Round 1 of the NHL Playoffs. Ahead of Game 1, we asked you about your hockey affiliations, and here’s what you had to say.
34% of poll-takers said they were the biggest Caniac out there.
30% said they like following the Canes, but aren’t super fans.
20% said they aren’t fans of hockey.
13% said they root for another NHL team. Popular teams include the New Jersey Devils, the Boston Bruins, and the New York Rangers.
Thanks for sharing, Raleigh — now we know which teams to look out for.
Catch the Canes tonight against the Islanders as they fight for a third win of the round, maybe at a local watch party with other Caniacs to cause some chaos when the puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
We don’t recommend rooting against the Canes, but you can buy tickets to potential Game 5 and Game 7 now.
Wolfpack fans, head to the Carolina Mudcats game in Zebulon tonight to meet NC State basketball living legend DJ Horne before the game. Get a guaranteed picture and autograph at the VIP experience — plus great seats at Five County Stadium — or attend the game as usual to meet Horne on the concourse.
