You asked, Anna Churchill answered. Readers submitted their top beauty questions and Synergy Face + Body’s founder is back with expert aesthetic adviceon how to feel more confident in your skin.
How do I address notable dark spots all over my body?
We can target those pesky spots using BroadBand Light (BBL) Laser Therapy. Sciton’s HERO technology covers entire areas of the body in seconds to quickly and painlessly address pigment with a few short treatments.
I’m in desperate need of a reset. What do you recommend for an overall improvement?
I’ve been loving our signature SkinergyGLO treatment — aka a “forever facial.” We start with dermaplaning (bye dead skin cells) before infusing the skin with AfterGLO serum, leaving your skin looking brighter and healthier.
Is CoolSculpting® worth the hype?
Yes! This procedure uses cryolipolysis to freeze fat cells and permanently eliminate them from the body. We use the best technology on the market + see great results.
Pro tip: Save big on these treatments during Synergy’s FAB Week, happening Monday, April 1-Saturday, April 13.
Following a possible loss of accreditation and financial troubles, St. Augustine’s is moving to fully remote learning starting April 1 with students requested to be off campus by April 3. A movement of university groups is additionally calling for the resignation of the university’s board of trustees with a resolution called SAVESAU. (WRAL)

Welcome back to our RALtoday coffee shop bracket, where we’re asking you to determine the best coffee shop in Raleigh.
After our initial rounds of votes, we’re down to two “teams” left:
Jubala Coffee | City Editor Allie here. Jubala is a personal favorite in Raleigh and is a real place for connection. Everything from a plain latte to seasonal espresso tonics — my usual order — are made well, and the service is always top notch. Don’t forget a sweet biscuit with country ham, egg, and cheese for breakfast.
Sola Coffee Cafe | City Editor Cat here. Sola was the very first coffee shop I frequented in Raleigh. My favorite thing, other than the shop’s killer cappuccinos + Sola BLT sandwich, is the community this cafe boasts. Plus, its outdoor space is the perfect spot to catch up with new and old friends.
Thanks for participating in last week’s news quiz. Here’s a few answers folks had trouble with: NC State wrestling clinched the ACC Championship March 10, and then men’s basketball did the same last Saturday. Maker’s Alley is opening at the new North Hills Innovation District — we’re looking forward to these new vendors.
Did you like this quiz? Let us know and we might make it a weekly event.
