Take a leap around Raleigh with these daring feats

Leap day only happens once every four years — why not take the chance to do something out of the box? Catch some air and leap into the 919 — here are eight ways to get your feet off the ground around Raleigh, from trampoline parks to skydiving.

For leaping newbies

Big Air Trampoline Park, 6421 Hilburn Dr. | In addition to bouncing off the trampoline walls with the whole fam, climb seven rock walls and join cosmic nights complete with black lights and lasers.

DEFY Raleigh, 5604 Departure Dr., Ste. 100 | Give the zipline, stunt fall, aerial silks, and bouncy basketball a try at this extreme air park.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park, 2101 Westinghouse Blvd., Ste. 111 | Dive into a pile of foam blocks, play dodgeball, and even bring the toddlers along to a safe zone for little ones.

Urban Air Adventure Park, 7810 Poyner Pond Circle | Get the platinum level ticket to jump on trampolines, experience virtual reality, take a leap of faith on the warrior course, and try bumper cars and a ropes course, too.

Getting the hang of things

OC Aerial, 3463 Coates Industrial Blvd., Ste. 200, Durham | This place screams “American Ninja Warrior.” Try conquering the warped wall, 50 feet of monkey bars, and bouldering at the region’s largest indoor adventure park.

UA Indoor SkyDiving, 1020 WCC Ln., Ste. B, Morrisville | Experience real free-fall sensations in this wind tunnel without the dangers of jumping out of an airplane.

True daredevils only

Skydive Paraclete XP, 143 Airport Dr., Raeford | In addition to the largest wind tunnel for indoor skydiving in the US, this facility has a storied history of skydivers ready to take their first or hundredth leap.

Skydive Raleigh, 6966 NC-56, Franklinton | Spread your wings just an hour from downtown Raleigh and get one of the best views in town while flying through the air at 120 mph.
