Hub RTP is adding a premium stay to its core downtown — a Renaissance Hotel by Marriott will add 250 rooms to the forthcoming100-acre development.
Stewards of the district, which includes Boxyard, Frontier, and multiple new developments, announced real estate investment firm NexPoint Advisors and Dallas-based developer Alamo Manhattan will work together to deliver the first hotel to be announced for Hub RTP.
“Finding the right hotel development partner is a crucial step toward shaping Hub RTP as a true downtown destination for the Park,” said Scott Levitan, president and CEO of the Research Triangle Foundation of NC, in a press release.
This luxe stay will feature amenities like a resort-style pool.

Alamo Manhattan plans to work with developers to capture NC’s natural beauty by utilizing features like an outdoor patio with access to more than 20 miles of nature trails throughout RTP.
With construction slated to break ground in summer 2024, Renaissance RTP will feature luxuries like a resort-style pool, 13,000 sqft of meeting space, a coffee bar, and a high-tech fitness center.
The lobby level of the building will include a full-service restaurant and bar connecting to Horseshoe at Hub RTP, a U-shaped trio of buildings by real estate firm White Point — Horseshoe plans to open in fall 2024.
Leaders of the Research Triangle Foundation also recently presented plans to the Durham County Board of Commissioners to establish a social district synchronous with food + bev concept openings. The board will vote on the decision at a later date.
Site plans for the property located at 4175 Sancar Way off Davis Drive are currently listed as “under review” by Durham County, but stay tuned for more info on the budding project.
