Small Business Saturday is coming up on Nov. 25. What started as an American Express campaign in 2010 to inspire consumers to shop locally has become an annual holiday that’s celebrated nationally.
We asked you to tell us which local small businesses you love shopping with + any deals you’re excited for, and (as usual) you didn’t disappoint. Plus, we included some of the local deals and shops we love.
Editors’ Picks
Cat | Two of my favorite holiday stops are on Person Street — I always snag a few stocking suffers from Edge of Urge and Unlikely Professionals. But when I’m downtown, I tend to browse (read: buy) from DECO and The Flourish Market for unique finds.
Allie | I’m shopping small at City Market this holiday. I am grabbing a latte and maybe a book or two from Blackbird Books and Coffee before shopping green-thumbed sales at Copperline Plant Co. Then, I’m heading to Unleashed to shop for all the pet parents I know.
You all love shopping small.Check out where else you said you’ll be shopping on Nov. 25.
Trailblazing Love | Cultivate deeper connections with this brand’s activity boxes for couples. Bonus: Also shop s’mores kits, wooden ornaments and coasters, and cozy throw blankets.

Happy Turkey Day, Raleigh — I’m thankful for local businesses that make the holidays bright. One local treat I’m diving into today is an ice cream pie from Andia’s. I visited the new Raleigh Iron Works location again yesterday, and it’s as cute as ever. Let us know what you’re thankful for.
