Hey folks, City Editor Allie here. Here are just a few events to keep on your radar as the weekend comes up. Heads up, although the past few days have been chilly, it looks like this weekend will warm back up as these teams’ seasons heat up.

North Carolina FC is headed to the USL League One championship against the Charlotte Independence. Head to WakeMed Soccer Park this Sunday, Nov. 5 for a match not to be missed.

Pack basketball is back. Root for the NC State women’s team from home as it takes on the UConn Huskies on Sunday, Nov. 12 in a sold-out game, and head to PNC Arena on Friday, Nov. 10 for a men’s matchup against Abilene Christian.

If you’re not in the mood for sports, check out Trunkshow’s Fall Market on Sunday; I’ll be there scoping out decor and accessories among other vintage treasures.

  • Act like a local: Head to Beak and Skiff Apple Orchards for all the fall feels. You’ll want to take the tractor ride out to pick your own apples.
