  • ICYMI: NC Freedom Park, which honors Black North Carolinian heritage, is open to the public. Park bystanders can enjoy shaded sitting areas, landscaped beds surrounded by quotes of trailblazers and visionaries, and the Beacon of Freedom lit up at dusk each evening.

  • The Green Monkey’s new downtown location is open at 215 S. Wilmington St. While people browse the shop and sip on cold drinks upstairs, folks can now enjoy events like Wednesday night trivia and Thursday night music bingo in its new downstairs production space.
