This fall, Band Together NC’s Mighty Giveback benefit concert will take the stage for a powerful night of country and rock ‘n’ roll performances, with the purpose of connecting and giving back to our community through live music.
Four-time Grammy Award-winning artist Jason Isbell and his band the 400 Unit will headline the Oct. 7 fundraising event, with a goal to reach $1 million for this year’s nonprofit partner United Way of the Greater Triangle.
Since 2001, the program has donated over $11 million to more than 20 nonprofit organizations in the area and is the largest fundraising concert in the Southeast.
“Band Together NC is thrilled to present our annual benefit concert with our valued partner to help strengthen local nonprofits and once again dedicate the year to supporting housing accessibility,” said Executive Director Thorne Daubenspeck. “It’s going to be a great night for our community.”
During the live event at Red Hat Amphitheater, concert-goers can sing and dance along to hits like “Cover Me Up,” enjoy special guest performances, and listen to stories from 20 impactful Triangle nonprofit organizations.
So, who’s ready to party with a purpose? VIP tickets are sold out, but folks can purchase individual tickets starting at $36, donate to the cause, or become a sponsor to help fast-track the $1 million goal.

Celebrate and let the “opas!” commence with a night featuring an authentic Greek family-style feast with dishes like whole roasted lamb and chicken souvlaki, plus bouzouki music, belly dancing, and plate smashing.
Tickets are $70 and the first 100 tickets purchased will have a guaranteed seat on the lush rooftop patio. Seating is communal, so you’ll get to know your neighbors.
Last week I explored Falls of Neuse Lake Trail. This is one of my favorite places located just outside of Raleigh. It’s an easy paved trail perfect for walking, biking, and fishing. Plus, it has a launch site for paddle-crafts. There are seven river launch sites along the Neuse — this location (12098 Falls of the Neuse Rd., Wake Forest) has a public washroom and is right beside The Bike Guy, a repair and bike rental shop.
