Stomp your boots, country music fans — The Power of Women in Country Music is coming to the NC Museum of History. This carefully curated exhibition by the GRAMMY Museum will be popping up in Raleigh from Fri., Oct. 28-Sun., Feb. 26.

The exhibit will highlight the past, present, and future of country music’s greatest female trailblazers. From post–World War II to the unfolding of Nashville becoming a country music hub, this exhibit will surely make you tumble outta bed and stumble to the museum.

Memorabilia from 70 different powerhouses like Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Rosanne Cash, Shania Twain + Taylor Swift will be displayed along with artifacts from contemporary NC artists, such as Rhiannon Giddens and Rissi Palmer.

“NC has a wonderfully diverse group of women artists who span country music and other genres. We are fortunate to highlight many of these women in this exhibit and concert series,” Katie Edwards, Curator of Popular Culture at the NC Museum of History told RALtoday.
