We’re on a mission. It’s our goal at RALtoday to bring the most relevant + engaging daily content about Raleigh right to your inbox. We are proud to deliver free, positive, local news that you look forward to each morning.

As you can imagine, it takes work to make this happen. A lot of behind the scenes effort goes into making sure we keep you up to date with everything going on in our community (and beyond).

Long story short: It’s not an easy task, but it’s one we love doing.

We know you hate paywalls as much as we do. By becoming a member, you help keep this product free for everyone. Because access to important local information should be free for all.

As a member, you’ll receive exclusive members-only emails, member exclusive shoutouts, and discounts to our Six & Main store. Plus, we’re donating 10% of memberships annually to a local philanthropic cause. But we hope you’ll join because you support our work.

Let’s make this happen together, Raleigh.

Thank you for being a reader and supporting our mission.

Big news, Raleigh: Lakeland Cultural Arts Center in Littleton (a quick ~1.5 hour-drive away) has reopened for business — and by business we mean world-class theatre.

Originally founded in 1978 as a volunteer-run theater project, LCAC has completed an impressive expansion and renovation and is gearing up for its 2022-2023 season, including:
  • Crowns
  • The Odd Couple
  • A Christmas Carol
  • Concerts and special events (think: violin duo Sons of Maestro on Sept. 16 + so much more)
Pro tip: Grab dinner at Bluejay Bistro and make a day (or weekend) of it.*

Let’s give ‘em pumpkin to talk about 🎃

3 spots serving PSL early in Raleigh, NC

You’re either relishing the last few weeks of summer or you’re already in full pumpkin spice mode. Either way, we’re not here to judge. While PSL hasn’t hit every coffee shop menu in town yet (give it time), these three spots are already serving autumn favorites. ☕
  • A Place at the Table, 300 W. Hargett St. | Raleigh’s first pay-what-you-can cafe is featuring a Pumpkin Spice Latte, apple cider, and a Black Cat Mocha.
  • Sir Walter Coffee, 145 E. Davie St. | Stop in at this downtown coffeehouse for a Pumpkin King Cold Brew with maple nitro cold brew + pumpkin pie shaken cream or an Apple Pies and Autum Skies latte.
  • The Cupcake Shoppe, 104 Glenwood Ave. | Pair your PSL from this bakery + cafe with a seasonal cupcake.

Editor’s pick: Friends, I decorated for Halloween last weekend after seeing Acquisitions Limited’s outdoor fall setup while grabbing a beer from Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard. Fall is my favorite time of year. I’m ready for pumpkin patches, Falling For Local, and the NC State Fair. I need to know, what part of fall in Raleigh do you most look forward to? Tell me here. 🍂
