Anyone else really missing the Triangle music scene like we are? Trevor here, and I’m disappointed that the two shows I had tickets for this summer were cancelled altogether, but still excited for the day that I’ll get to experience Raleigh’s diverse music scene in person. For now, I plan on getting my concert fix through Offstage Live: Music at the Museum.

The NCMA will be hosting this virtual series — in partnership with Come Hear NC — with live-streamed concerts from inside the Museum’s galleries. The events will showcase the Triangle area’s rich musical landscape, featuring artists from a different local region each concert.

Here’s a look at the lineup + upcoming dates for the series:

Chatham County Line | Reigning from Raleigh | Tuesday, September 1, 8 p.m.

Dreamroot | Reigning from Durham | Tuesday, September 15, 8 p.m.

S.E. Ward | Reigning from Chapel Hill | Tuesday, September 29, 8 p.m.

Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba | Reigning from Pittsboro | Tuesday, October 20, 8 p.m.

The concerts also provide an opportunity to support featured local artists who have been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic + the cancellations of their public concerts. The livestream broadcasts will include PayPal or Venmo links for viewers to provide monetary donations for each featured band.

You’ll be able to tune into these shows for free on the NCMA Youtube channel. If you can’t make the concert’s livestream, you’ll be able to watch it later on the Youtube channel or on UNC-TV’s PBS network with additional content such as behind-the-scenes interviews.
