“This is Hopscotch for comedy.” That’s how local comedian + fest organizer Jordan Scott Huggins described next week’s Raleigh Comedy Festival, and with 19 shows, over 50 comics, and five headliner acts spread across downtown, it’s easy to see why.
Raleigh Comedy Festival’s first iteration will feature headliners like former “Saturday Night Live” performer Luke Null, NYC regular Caitlin Peluffo, musical duo Good Cop Rad Cop, Comedy Central-featured comedian Amy Miller, and Netflix is a Joke Fest perfomer Chris Higgins. Each headlining act will perform once on Friday + Saturday.
This grassroots festival isn’t just about the headliners, though — they’re ready to find the next best thing in comedy. Stand-up showcases throughout the fest will feature 10-minute sets from local + national comics, so expect a little bit of everything.
The show we’re most excited for? The Roast of Raleigh at Kings on Thursday featuring Mayor Janet Cowell, Nick Neptune, and Downtown Raleigh Alliance’s Bill King. Raleigh, get ready to feel the burn.
To get your laughs in, grab tickets to shows on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, or pick the OTB or ITB pass for access to all shows and priority seating. Individual shows are $20 and passes start at $100.
