It’s no secret that you work hard — especially Monday through Friday. But Raleigh doesn’t slow down after 5 p.m. — give yourself a break from your usual after-work routine and hit the town with these 10 weekly events + activities.
Monday
Keep things low-key after work with a game of bingo at The Longleaf Lounge at least twice per month at 7 p.m. and enjoy drag-themed games during June for Pride Month. Take things up a notch by heading to Raleigh Beer Garden for karaoke at 8 p.m. to sing your heart out or be an active spectator.
Tuesday
Get into a grooving good time, check out Slim’s Downtown for live music performances starting at 9 p.m. But if knowledge-based fun turns your wheels, participate in rounds of trivia at Flying Saucer Raleigh at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. If you just can’t decide between games and music, try Ponysaurus Brewing’s music bingo event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Wednesday
Keep a low profile at Blackbird Books & Coffee’s crochet and coffee session or jazz up your evening at Moon Room in Smoky Hollow with a jam session at 8 p.m. Try this: Make it a night and stop by The Crunkleton next door for a small bite like the crispy calamari and an elderflower sour cocktail. Get a mixture of food, cocktails, and fun at Cuya Cocktail Bar with free salsa dancing lessons every week at 8:30 p.m.
Thursday
Celebrate Friday eve at The Brass Tap with trivia and happy hour specials, including the $9 cheeseburger and fries entree and an $8 pepperoni pizza. You can also stop by Jolie and grab some fries + champagne from the serving window from 6 to 10 p.m.
Friday
Stroll into the weekend with a Public Art Sip n’ Stroll Tour with Raleigh Walking Tours. If it’s the first Friday of the month, head downtown for a series of events like markets, movie nights, and other curated events. Pro tip: Check out First Friday Raleigh for the full scope of events.
