Something big has surfaced in Raleigh — and even its jaw is jaw-dropping.

The “Blue Whales” special exhibition is on display through Jan. 11 at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, offering a deep dive into how these gentle mammals became Earth’s largest animals ever, plus:

  • See an enormous scale replica of a blue whale skeleton
  • Play the interactive “License to Krill” game
  • Step inside a life-size jaw model
  • Listen to the songs of the sea with surround-sound whale calls

Psst: Admission is free for museum members.

Prepare to be wowed
