What is the thread that connects all our stories into a fabric of shared human experiences?

That’s what the Carolina Ballet aims to explore as it launches its 27th season this September. Aptly named “Movement that Means,” the new season challenges both dancers and audience members to explore how dance + movement tell the stories of life’s joys and complexities.

Look forward to mesmerizing visuals and creative narratives with:

  • Scotch Symphony & Creatures of Prometheus | Sept. 12-29 | The season opener takes you to the Scottish Highlands in this Romantic Ballet tribute.
  • Jekyll & Hyde | Oct. 17-Nov. 3 | See the world premiere of this iconic story that explores humanity’s shadowy depths.
  • The Nutcracker | Dec. 12-24 | Experience the holiday classic, full of fresh choreography, vibrant sets, and stunning costumes.
  • Alice in Wonderland | Mar. 13-30 | Another world premiere, the fanciful tale welcomes a guest choreographer and beautifully designed sets.
  • Swan Lake | May 15-18 | The famous production returns to its roots as it explores Marius Petipa’s original 1895 version.
