Calling all plein air painters: Registration is open for Burnsville’s Brushstrokes in the Blue Ridge.

Looking for a spectacular change of scenery? Explore Burnsville and Toe River Crafts invites artists to pack their paints + passion and participate in the community’s inaugural five-day plein air festival (happening Tuesday, May 12 through Saturday, May 16).

Registration ($90) includes:

  • Tuesday | Cocktail party
  • Thursday | Optional workshop with Jo Ridge Kelley ($200 per person)
  • Friday | Community dinner + Painting sale
  • Saturday | Quickdraw competition with $350 and $150 prizes.
