Artspace, a nonprofit dedicated to visual arts in downtown Raleigh, is unveiling FRESH, its biennial showcase highlighting NC artists. Featuring works from over 250 creators — from emerging talents to established names — the exhibit aims to foster meaningful conversations about art’s role in the community.

To celebrate the new exhibition, Artspace is hosting four engaging, free events at the gallery.

  • First Friday | Friday, Oct. 4 | 6-10 p.m. | The exhibition opens and will feature live music, wine tastings, + an art-making activity.
  • Artspace X Scatterbrain Screenings| Thursday, Oct. 17 | 6:30-8:30 p.m. | This screening will showcase the works of local emerging animators.
  • Collector’s Panel | Thursday, Oct. 24 | 6-8 p.m. | Local art collectors will share advice for building an art collection.
  • First Friday with Juror Remarks | Saturday, Nov. 2 | 6-10 p.m. | Jessica Orzulak of the Asheville Art Museum will give insight into curatorial choices.
