Cat’s Cradle has been a Triangle music staple for the last 50 years, and now that they haven’t been able to sell out shows or pack the venue due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they had to get a little creative to remind everyone how incredible our local music scene is. Introducing Cover Charge: NC Artists Go Under Cover To Benefit Cat’s Cradle.

This album, which will be available via Bandcamp, showcases notable NC artists performing covers of classic hits. From Madonna’s “Dress You Up” re-created by The Veldt to Bob Dylan’s “Boots of Spanish Leather” re-created by Mandolin Orange, this cover album spans every genre + gives you a taste of what the Triangle music scene has to offer.

If you pre-order, your purchase will include an instant download of five tracks + additional tracks will be released subscription-style each Friday in July as a reward for early purchase. The album release date is July 31, but click here to check out the complete 25-track list before it’s released. 🎧

All proceeds from the sale of Cover Charge will benefit the Cat’s Cradle to continue to bring great local music to our community for generations to come.
