Raleigh-based Merz Aesthetics, the world’s largest dedicated medical aesthetics business, is expanding its sponsorship of the NC Courage, aka the two-time champions of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
“This partnership is so meaningful for us at Merz Aesthetics,” said Patrick Urban, North America President. “The NC Courage shares many of our values and this partnership supports our vision to fuel confidence by creating an opportunity to further empower women, celebrate individuality, and help inspire everyone to live their most authentic life. We’re proud to see our logo on the jersey, knowing the confidence, the courage, talent, and commitment the players and the team represent. I’m looking forward to an incredible season.”
So, what does this mean for the upcoming season?
Fan engagement + a new pitch
The partnership aims to promote confidence, character, and sportsmanship among NC Courage fansand beyond through community events, player engagement, and in-stadium activations + signage. Merz Aesthetics is also sponsoring the construction of a mini pitch (opening later this year) that is poised to help provide Raleigh residents with a place to learn, practice, and play soccer.
New jerseys
Throughout the 2023 season, NC Courage players will wear Merz Aesthetics-sponsored jerseys with its logo on the front of both home and away jerseys. The new kits (aka jerseys) will make their debut when the NC Courage kicks off their season in late March.
Fueling confidence
Raleighites will also get a glimpse of players’ journeys on and off the field through a social media interview series named #ConfidenceMeetsCourage. Although their industries are different, both Merz Aesthetics and NC Courage seek to inspire and encourage people to be the best versions of themselves — however, they define it.
Throughout the season, NC Courage players will share their personal stories about courage and confidence. Fans will get also get an inside look at each player’s pre-game affirmations, how they get their game face on, and how they spend their time off of the field. The interviews will be exclusively available on the NC Courage and Merz Aesthetics social channels (Instagram).
