The 2023 Stadium Series â an outdoor hockey game between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Washington Capitals at Carter-Finley Stadium â is coming up on Saturday, Feb. 18. Donât stop reading if youâre not going. Freefestivities begin the day before, whether or not youâve secured tickets to the game.
On Friday, Feb. 17, the Carolina Hurricanes Fan Fest will take over downtown Raleigh to celebrate the Canesâ 25 years in NC. Fayetteville Street will be packed with activities and entertainment from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Throughout the day, there will be live music on two stages, live art, and drone light shows. More than 30 Triangle food trucks and 50+ vendors will line the streets, with plenty of craft beer to go around. There will even be a wing eating contest â sign up here.
Weâre especially excited for the street hockey scrimmage, toride on the Ferris wheel, and to jump on large inflatables, like a giant slide with fake snow. Hereâs to hoping we can sound the Hurricanesâ siren, which will also make an appearance.
Get your camera ready, because there will be lots of photo opportunities. Caniancs can take a picture with the Stanley Cup, meet Hurricanes alumni and mascots (and snag autographs), and pose in photo booths. In celebratory fashion, the day will end with a fireworks show.

Itâs show time. After months of renovations, Goodnights Comedy Clubâs new, permanent location is now open in the Village District.
Charlie Goodnights opened the iconic comedy club on Morgan Streetin 1983. Last summer, it temporarily moved into the Village Districtâs former K&W Cafeteria and operated as a pop-up club. And now, the club is settling in to its permanent home.
The new Goodnights is situated underneath a soon-to-be Shake Shack at 401 Woodburn Rd., Raleigh. Youâll know youâre there when you see the giant âHand Out Happinessâ mural. Inside are two stages with room for an approximately 300-person audience.
See the new club for yourself âstarting Tuesday, Jan. 17, all scheduled shows will take place in the new location. Check out the full calendar.
