• Dine in or take away a gourmet sandwich from Ladyfingers. Then, explore the eatery’s market featuring dry goods, household necessities, and fine wine.
• Whiskey Kitchen is another great spot to grab lunch on a beautiful day. Sit on the large outdoor patio.

• Explore the free People’s Collection at the NCMA and take a walk around the Museum Park. Pro tip: The museum has rotating exhibitions in the East Building.
• Shop at Edge of Urge, Unlikely Professionals, and So & So Books (all within walking distance of each other).

5 p.m.

• Beasley’s Chicken and Honey by chef Ashley Christensen is a must if you’re craving Southern food. Think: Hot biscuits, spicy chicken, and pimento mac-n-cheese.
• Dine on what’s in season at Mandolin — many of its ingredients are sourced directly from chef Sean Fowler’s farm.

7 p.m.

• Catch an outdoor concert at Red Hat Amphitheater or Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek.
• Cheer on the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena.

9 p.m.

• Flash back to the 1920s at modern speakeasy Watts & Ward.
• End your night with an espresso martini and s’mores sundae from Bittersweet.
